אמגושא
אַמְגֹּושָׁאm. (h. מָגֹוש) magus, magian, a Persian priest and interpreter of dreams; magician, sorcerer. Targ. Y. I Ex. 7:15; 8:16.B. Beth. 58a. Yoma 35a (Ḥull.62b) פרוה א׳ Parvah is the name of a Persian magus after whom the cell in the Temple was named.Sabb.75a א׳ רב ושמואל Var. (read אַמְגּוּשְׁתָּא).Pl. אַמְגֹּושֵׁי. Snh.98a אי בטלי יהירי בטלי א׳ when (in Israel) the haughty shall cease to exist, the magians (among the Persians) shall cease.
